I knew the Alikay Naturals Creme Brûlée was not exactly a gel, but I wanted to give it a try as some naturals use it as a wash and go styler. Plus, Alikay Naturals products are available locally and I do like the Alikay Naturals leave-in conditioner, so I forked over the cash for this product with an optimistic outlook. I have seen this product in my local Target and Sally Beauty Supply stores. It’s quite expensive for the size, but for my readers and my own curiosity, I bit the bullet. Also, I trust the reviews from CurlyGirlJess, and she said the product has significant hold, so I caved.
Honestly, I am not in love with how my hair turns out with this gel. Yes, it has hold, but not enough for me to use the product frequently. I may not even use this jar up because I don’t want to have to re-wash my hair and style every two days. On my hair, this product may best suit wet set styles like twist outs, braid outs, and buns.
Check out the video above for a look at how the product worked for my type 4b/4c hair.
