The Clear Ice Coconut Oil Styling Gel by Ampro Industries released several months ago. I tried the gel for most of August, and then Ampro realeased the Aloe Styler. That’s when I decided to revisit Ampro and feature the new stylers.
Take A Look
I am a huge fan of the Ampro Olive Oil Styler, and the Aloe Styler is a definite new favorite. After trying the Coconut Oil Styling Gel, I am convinced that Ampro is the new contender for wash and go’s. Check out application and the five day breakdown in the video below:

The gel is not natural, but it doesn’t contain protein, parabens, or alcohol. I purchased the gel from Dollar General, but it is available at Walmart, Beauty Supply Stores, Walgreens, CVS, and everywhere Ampro Industries products are sold. Pricing for the Coconut Oil Styling Gel varies, but the product is usually between $2 or $3 for 12 ounces of product.
I like how my hair behaves when using the Coconut Oil Styling Gel, and I get great multi day hair. My hair remains moisturized throughout the week, and I never get flakes when using the gel. My only gripe is the consistency. It’s a little thick and does not smooth very well over my hair.
Would I recommend this gel? Definitely. It has a firmer hold than the Aloe or Olive Oil Styler, but does not leave the hair crunchy. My hair does feel a little stiff on day one, but that stiffness is easily scrunched out with a little oil. Overall, I think if you are a fan of ECO Krystal, you may like this gel.
Next up is the Black Castor & Flaxseed Oil Gel.
