Late September, Mielle Organics launched a new line of products geared toward type four naturals, including the Pomegranate & Honey Curling Custard. The marketing for the new line was fantastic, and I am always down to try new product, so I purchased everything. After testing the Curling Custard in four different ways, I decided it was time for a product review.
Take A Look!
I was definitely rooting for this light hold gel because although I’ve tried many, and have a staple, I haven’t really found my MVP. Light hold gel’s do not provide a cast, so they allow my hair to showcase its natural volume. Check out the video below for more details:

I purchased the Curling Custard from Sally Beauty for $12.99. The first five ingredients consist of humectants and moisturizers, and the product is certified organic. Honey provides the moisture necessary to define my curls, while the Xanthum Gum helps to take away frizz to let the definition show through.
The consistency of the Curling Custard can only be described as slimy, but it smoothes onto the hair very easily. I would suggest using this product in the shower to avoid mess, and to be careful about pulling out too much at once.
Miellle Organics Pomegranate & Honey Curling Custard defines my coils easily without crunch or cast. It does a decent job of getting rid of frizz, and leaves my hair very moisturized. Multi-day hair ends at about day three, but still looks good enough to throw my hair into a puff.
Next up is the Pomegranate & Honey Twisting Souffle!
