Hair Care Length Check

Length Check – One Inch In One Month | September 2017

It has been one month since I began the Go Hard Length Retention Challenge, so it’s time for a length check. I wanted to see if I actually retained one inch in one month. Checking the overall state of my hair will also help me know if I should continue with the regimen as is or if I need to make a few changes.

Take A Look!

At the beginning of the month I found that the hair above my ear was 12 inches, and the hair at the nape of my neck was 11 inches. I chose these parts of my hair because it would be easy to pull the same hair each time. Check out the video below for the length check.

What more can I say than…I’m happy! I retained one inch in one month, and it wasn’t even very difficult. I simply needed to snip off the dead ends, take my vitamins and moisturize my hair daily to retain the length I desired.

In August, I mostly used a mixture of Mielle Organics and Camille Rose Naturals products this month. I ran out of my Obia Naturals Babassu Oil Deep Conditioner at the beginning of the month and switch to using the Mielle Organics Babassu Oil MintDeep Conditioner.

I also ran out of my Camille Rose Naturals Curl Love Moisture Milk toward the end of the month, so I switched to using the Mielle Organics Avocado Hair Milk (a review of the Mielle Organics products is planned for later this month). However, I think what made those most difference is the MegaFood Multivitamin.

Moving Forward

Now, to protect that length I retaiined, I am getting a long term protective style put in tomorrow. Check out my Instastory today for a sneak peak at what I have purchased to prepare, and tomorrow for a look at the style. The goal for September is to retain that inch!

I will of course have to make a few modifications to my regimen for the protective style. No worries, I will post a video about how I will maintain that style. Like I said in the video, I will continue to take my vitamins and check the length again at the end of the month.
