It’s October, so its time to share my top five favorite things from September. Sometimes you have a month in which you feel rejuvenated, sometimes you don’t. I worked hard in September, and I had some highs and some lows. Nonetheless, there were five things that made my month better.
September 2017 Favorites
First, let’s talk bundt cake. Yep, bundt cake. In August I threw a bridal shower for my best friend, and had my first bundtini from Nothing Bundt Cakes. Nothing Bundt Cakes is a locally owned, national chain that only sells bundt cakes. These bundt cakes are moist, flavorful, and a treat that I indulged several times in September. I even went on the hunt for a lemon bundtlet during my hurricane stay in Atlanta.
My excess consumption of sweets was definitely a result of stress. What can I say, I’m an emotional eater. Although I am very proud of my success with Vlogtember, it was stressful. Nonetheless, Vlogtember is one of the most fun things I’ve done on my Youtube Channel. Highlights include my impromptu #irmagerd Vlog, the $20 Curly Hair Routine Challenge, and the protective style I wore for September.
Speaking of the $20 Curly Hair Routine Challenge, let’s talk about a new hair care favorite. I was very pleasantly surprised by the Cantu for Naturals Leave-In Conditioner. I had tried the Coconut Curling Cream previously, but I would say without hesitation that I like the leave-in more. It glides through my strands, leaves a fair amount of moisture, and works well under gel. It’s thinner than the cream, with more of a whipped texture that helps it glide through my strands. This product is what inspired the Vlogtember giveaway going on right now.
The last two September favorites are beauty, and although everyone and their mama has talked about the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette here are my two cents. It’s the perfect naked palette for chocolate girls. The colors are very vibrant, and on darker skin tones come off as wearable for every day. I own all three Naked Palettes, and I can say with certainty that this palette is one of my favorites. It truly complements the Naked Palette Series, and is getting quite a bit of use within my collection.
Last but certainly not least amongst ,u September favorites is the Formula X Nail polish in Lead Foot. The Formula X brand is discontinued, but I own about 18 polishes from the brand. I was in a wedding this month, and the colors were yellow and grey. A manicure is clutch for any bridal party, and I always take my own polish to the nail salon so I shopped my own stash. I hadn’t worn this color before, and now I am OBSESSED! The metallic sheen on this color is just killer, and now I want to wear this polish every single day.
Woah!! It’s October!
