The Bantu Knot Out | Natural Hair Style

bantu knot out

Last week I was inspired by another Youtuber to do a bantu knot out. It has truly been awhile since I did a bantu knot out and the ease of the style really appealed to me as I had the need for a lazy hair style. Th bantu knot out was an elusive style for me for a very long time. I tried doing this style in many different ways and was never happy with the results.

Eventually I realized that I was comparing my results against that of other naturals with different textures than mine. One I began to focus on just achieving some kind of curl or wave, I became much happier with the result. One day I may get great results on wet hair, but for now, that doesn’t work for me.

Product wise, I turned to Qhemet. Qhemet is quite heavy, so it’s perfect to use on air dried hair. I used my favorite Qhemet Biologics Amla & Olive Heavy Cream with Aloe Vera Gel to set my hair overnight. The next day I was left with beautiful curls that I didn’t want to re-do for fear of messing up the style. Check out the video for details.

Take a look!

Tip: For the longest lasting curls, do this style on CLEAN dry hair.
