Top 5 Leave-In Moisturizers for The Best Wash and Go | Type 4 Natural Hair

top 5 wash and go

In my last video I asked if anyone would like me to do a video on my favorite leave-in moisturizers for achieving an ultra defined wash and go. I received a resounding yes, so this week I am discussing my top 5 leave-in moisturizers for your best wash and go. I have type four natural hair, which means I am looking for my moisturizer to not only provide hydration to my strands, but also clumping, and hold if possible.

Top 5 Leave-In Moisturizers for Your Best Wash and Go

I have tried many creams under my gel’s over the years to find the best combination along with the best ingredients for my type 4 natural hair. Although my wash and go series focuses on gel’s, the moisturizers I use under those gels are just as important when it comes to achieving my best wash and go. Check out the video for a detailed explanation of my favorites:

*Cantu Shea Butter Coconut Curling Cream – Recent favorite that is cheap yet mighty. It packs moisture and leaves the hair in great condition once dry.

*Eden Bodyworks All Natural Pudding Souffle – An oldie but still great! I have used this for years to provide moisture with a little hold for my twist outs, braid outs, and wash and go’s.

*Mixed Chick’s Leave-In Conditioner – It wasn’t until I used this leave-in that I realized that my moisturizer could clump my curls.

*Camille Rose Naturals Coconut Water Style Setter – I really do love products from Camille Rose Naturals and the Style Setter is no exception. It provides moisture, hold, curl clumping, and is just affordable enough to be a staple in my stash.

*Ouidad Curl Recovery Whipped Curls Daily Conditioner & Styling Primer – This is bae! It is expensive, but it hits all the high points for my perfect wash and go moisturizer.

I currently have most of these products in my stash, but once I use them up I will only keep two in my stash at a time. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of these moisturizers. I say choose based on your comfortable price point. If you care, please share in the comments box below your favorite product combinations for achieving your best wash and go.

Yeah! 2000 subbies, congratulations. I’m excited about your 2000 subbie giveaway. Especially since I found your channels last year as I consider you my hair twin 😁. I use many of the same hair and beauty products. Your top 5 moisturizer video has me contemplating buying Ouidad’s whipped curls. .
