Life Week in review

Week in Review – July 6th to July 12th, 2015

Week in review old navy dress

The week began as in any other with work, exercise and lots of cleaning. I was out of town last week, so I was playing catch up with housework and errands all week. However, there were a few highlights.

Monday my best friend came into town from Colorado for a day, so I took the day off of work to spend time with her. We got together for lunch at Moe’s (something she doesn’t have in Colorado), and chit chatted for about an hour and a half before moving on to Target. books

Who doesn’t love Target! We tried on clothes, looked at housewares, school supplies and just did what best friends do. After Target, we parted ways and got back together for dinner and a fun post dinner game of Clue with friends and family. Quite a chill impromptu visit.  Friday I made it a point to go to Barnes & Noble for the new Toni Morrison novel, which I purchased, along with three other books. What can I say, I am a sucker for an interesting plot summary.

washh day

Saturday I ran (more on that here), washed my hair and went to dinner with my mom, sister and nephew at BJ’s Brewhouse. No special reason, just hanging out with family. I enjoyed a deliciously larger burger and fries that I earned with a 6 Mile run Saturday morning. Sunday I cleaned, grocery shopped meal prepped and went to see Terminator Genisys with my man.

Movie Review: I enjoyed the connections to past movies in the Terminator series. It was fun to see Arnold age over the years, and to remember the clothes and music of the 80’s. Other than that, I really have to give this movie a B/C rating. It didn’t really give me enough connection to the past story lines, they tried, but I found the plot to be a little far fetched within the confines of the series (which is saying something!). Plus, the boy meets girl storyline was a little forced, I mean they fell in love by about 2 scenes together. Did I enjoy the movie any less? No. It still had great robot battles; far fetched, but believable connections concerning technology taking over our world, and the usual girl meets boy storyline. Plus, I enjoy all time spent with my man.

All in all, last week was a great time spent with friends and family. How was your week?
