Spring is slowly rolling in, and I am so very ready for Winter weather to end, which means it is time to get my ready-to-wear wishlist together. I have enjoyed wearing boots and staying warm and cozy under my puffer jacket. Plus, the Atlanta winter was very mild this year with one dusting of snow and several days of not freezing cold.

Aside from the constant rain, I would deem this Winter as ideal. However, I cannot wait to let my toes free! In my wardrobe, Spring is all about a great blouse or printed pants. I especially enjoy a floral, but most long sleeve, loose-fitting tops will do.

I am partial to Rag & Bone, but Tori Burch and a good Marshall’s or TJ Maxx find still fits the bill. These ready-to-wear items also make great additions to my capsule wardrobe.

My Ready-To-Wear Wishlist

Item #1 – Sandals: In Winter, I was able to prep for Spring by purchasing a few items from my Capsul Wardrobe list, but I still need a few more items. Namely sandals in black and another color. It has been several years since I purchased sandals, and the few pairs I own are worn down. This is an area in which I spend less because I tend to stick with the trends.

Item #2 – Denim: Honestly, I feel that I can never have enough denim, and in some ways that is true. Although I own about three pairs, I still do not have any white or colorful denim. White jeans scare me, cause dirt, but they serve such a worthwhile purpose in any wardrobe, so I plan to give in and buy a pair. I may also purchase denim in another color, but the jury is still out on that front.

Item #3 – Printed Pants: Currently, what I call Pajamas are trending and I am here for it. Printed loose pants fit my curvy body type very well, and are easy to pair with a neutral top. Recently, I purchased a few crop tops from Marshall’s that are begging to be paired with a great pair of high waist printed pants. Zara is my go-to for this trend!

Item #4 – Slip Dress: Getting the trend? I love prints for Spring and my capsule could use a few prints. However, I have been eyeing the slip dress for awhile. The easy of the style and my curves are a perfect fit. The dresses in my capsule wardrobe focus more on cut and classic style, so the addition of a silk dress in a color just what I need to add a little flavor to my closet. I still want good quality, but I do not want to spend an arm and a leg so this trend may take a bit to find.

Item #5 – Gold Pendant Necklace: You may have noticed that I wear the same jewelry over and over again. Why? Because I like to have just a few classic pieces that I never really have to take off. I tend to splurge on the jewelry I wear and keep up with the maintenance so these pieces last forever. Right now, with more plunging necklines, my capsule begs for a gold pendant necklace. Something subtle and classic to go with my Tiffany Pearl earrings for an alternative to my silver friendship locket from Origami Owl.

This list is manageable and will be great additions to my capsule wardrobe. The idea is to buy a few pieces each season to build upon the next, and so far that structure is working. I am at the point where when I want to go out, I have something ready to wear ?
