Though I made a fair amount of money this month, my November online income report will show that my bank account did not receive much. Plus, I invested the vast majority of my profit into courses and gear to level up my content in 2021.

Right now, my cycle seems to be $1k every other month. I  am hopeful that in the new year, I can push that to every month. One thing I have hesitated to do is necessary, and that is pitch to brands.

Also, all year I have struggled with the best options for marketing my content. However, in the 12th hour, I think I have figured out just how I will market my content for growth in 2021.

My December income report will be stacked because of my work in November, but I also spent more on learning SEO and merchandising courses, so that brings my profit even lower. However, those courses are worth every penny.

As the phrase goes, I bought those courses to “work smarter, not harder.” I could have spent months trying to learn what those courses put together for less than one hundred dollars each. For that, I am grateful because I now know what I need to do to reach my monthly goal of $1000 and beyond.

2020 November Online Income Report (+ TRAFFIC)

I am only reporting income that has actually been deposited into my bank account. This means all the money that I am showing you today was actually made in September and October 2020, because most of the programs I am making money from take around 30-90 days to deposit into my bank account.

What did I do in November to grow?

As planned, I spent a significant amount of my time and energy planning to execute Vlogmas on the Youtube channel. I planned 25 videos, wrote scripts, and pre-filmed over half of the videos. Vlogmas is now in full effect, and I am proud of myself because it is going well without a bunch of extra work every day on my part.

Regardless of that huge distraction, I was able to grow my viewership in November by:

  • Posting on Pinterest almost every single day worked well. Though my Pinterest audience views went down this month, my blog traffic went up. This means that my Pins did not receive as many views, BUT more people clicked through my pins and found the blog.
  • I began sharing my blog posts on my Youtube community channel, and this led to more traffic to the blog
  • Also, I sent a few newsletters out that gained views for the blog and Youtube channel over the course of the month

My Youtube channel grew steadily, despite the new content, which is encouraging. In November, I took an SEO e-book course that helped me understand all of the things I need to do in order to get my blog posts to rank on Bing and Google search. Now, I am writing my blog posts and following the information inside to gain more organic blog traffic.

I still have not re-organized the blog.

My Plans for December

With Vlogmas in full effect, my Youtube channel will get views, so my main focus there is making sure the videos publish every day and that I engage in the comments. In December, I will actually begin re-organizing the blog and fixing the SEO of the top 10 posts that brings me the most traffic via Pinterest.

Hopefully that will lead to steady organic blog traffic over time.

I also need to focus on executing my new marketing strategy. The plan is to use Instagram to market my Youtube content, Pinterest to market my blog content, and Facebook to market both. I will still share my content across all platforms, but targeted marketing will focus on driving traffic to each platform separately.

In December, I also hope to finish an Affiliate marketing course and Printable’s By Number course. I purchased both to help me better market and convert sales via affiliate marketing and the printable’s I create. I have a few other printable ideas that I want to do a better job of selling, so I have invested in a few online courses to learn from the pros.

How I plan to grow my online income in December

The plan to grow my Income moving into January is pretty simple. This month I realized that focusing on growing smaller income amounts will lead to a larger overall profit. In the month of December, I will grow my online income by:

  1. Marketing to drive traffic: Vlogmas is a great opportunity to spike my Adsense income, and so marketing my content every day is a solid way to increase my typical income from Youtube and the Blog for the month.
  2. Affiliates: Up to this point in time, I really have not focused on growing affiliate income. However, after working through the Affiliate course, I realize the possibilities that I am missing out on for income growth. In December, I will focus on making sure to add links in all of the content I share. I also plan to spotlight anything that I think will be particularly useful to my viewers on Instagram and Youtube. The course helped me realize how much my slacking on my monthly Newsletter is a missed opportunity. I hope to release the newsletter this month and hopefully take advantage of what I learned in the Affiliate marketing course to grow my income.
  3. Merchandise: I have been working on a mug design for my Youtube tagline, and will be able to offer very limited quantities of that mug by mid-December. This month I will work to get the mug ready for sale and shipping. Alongside the mug, I am working on updating my 5-year plan template and making it a full ebook. Creating Youtube videos on the subject made me realize how much I needed to explain about using the template to create a 5-year plan. I haven’t figured out how much to charge for the e-book, but I’m hoping for at least 10 sales once complete.

Between work and Vlogmas, I am super busy. As a result, I temporarily suspended individual hair coaching sessions until January. I have received several inquiries, so once I open my book back up toward the end of December, I suspect that will again become a source of income.

Big goal: Get into the habit of writing M-F

I am posting on Youtube every day as a part of Vlogmas, so I will be proud of myself if I post on this blog and Instagram each week. However, I have not truly determined how best to include writing blog posts in my weekly schedule.

Lately, I have added 30 minutes of writing blog posts/video scripts to my morning routine by cutting my reading time to 30 minutes. Thus far, I like the focus and flow of my early morning writing sessions. Writing early in the morning may be just the ticket to getting my blog posts, social copy, and video scripts done during the week so that I have the weekends to decompress.

Moving forward, my plan is to market my content on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest every day, and to spend a few weeks looking through my year in analytics on all platforms.

With the sponsorships I have executed in November, I will definitely reach my $1000 monthly goal for the month. Therefore, I will use December to focus on partnerships for 2021. In December, I need to decide on 10 brands to make a pitch for January or February partnerships.

Also, hopefully, I can finish the e-book and start marketing it heavily during this time of the year when planning and goals are at the top of most people’s minds.

Lastly, during Black Friday promotions, I purchased a new vlogging camera: the Canon G7 X Mark II. I purchased it for the purpose of easy vlogging. I really want to make vlogging a consistent part of my online content in 2021, so the investment is a step in the right direction.

I spent a lot of money on courses this year, but I can say without a doubt that what I have learned is and will pay off in 2021. The traffic on all of my platforms is growing, and that visibility will lead to a growth in income.

Nonetheless, is there any type of content you would like to see more of on ALove4Me?
